Coach:
Several of our riders were rather skeptical of your methods and
philosophy at first, but I believe that just about everyone is
coming around to see things the way Coach Carl does. One of the
things I had some trouble selling was your even purse split. One by
one I convinced my riders to try something different than their
familiar 50/50 split.
I must say that we have had great success with your methods,
including the "everyone takes a cut" split, but most importantly
your strategy and mental philosophy. We have won 9 races so far this
year, and a rider I started with last year when he was a new cat 5
just placed 4th in a very tough Cat 3 Mid-Atlantic championship
race! He will easily be a cat 2 by year's end, and we have you to
thank for it.
Thanks again for all you have done to help us over here in the East.
We are doing our best over here to keep everyone in the dark with
regards to your methods. Why give the competition an advantage?
Thanks much and God bless

Dear Coach Carl,
Thank you for your response. Your web site has been a blessing to
many of our racers. There is already a link to your site from our
team's website so that our racers can find you. Our own coach's tell
our racers to go to your site for help.

Dear Coach,
Thanks very much for your helpful reply.
Once again, congrats on a great cycling site. The info you've posted
is by far the best, clearest training and racing info I've found
anywhere. Unlike a lot of what I've seen elsewhere, you understand
that we can't all be Lance Armstrong's, and neither can we all train
the way he does.
So many other folks seem to be offering info by and for pros,
involving expensive monitoring equipment, complicated formulas for
calculating all sorts of bodily functions, etc etc. Everything, it
seems, except getting on your bike, getting fit, going fast, and
having fun.
While there are only a few thousand cycling pros in the entire
world, millions of us "regular" folks love to ride and race our
bikes.
Thanks for remembering us!

I've read through your site with great interest. The tactical and
strategic information you've posted is simply not available anywhere
else. Someone else commented that you've done more to increase the
quality of racing in this country than Lance and I couldn't agree
more.
Please keep it coming!

Carl,
Thanks for your web URL. I visited your site and I was VERY
impressed with the depth and quality of the coaching info offered. I
am updating my juniors' web sites coaching page and will DEFINITELY
include it!

Carl,
I just wanted to say thanks for providing your advice, training
recommendations, and sports psychology. It inspires me because I am
at the point where I must decide what my long term goals will be. I
have raced 2 and a half seasons, am a '2' but at age 29 I have
reached a plateau. Your advice definitely inspires me to develop the
winning mind.
Thanks again.

Coach,
Little by little, night after night, I am devouring everything you
write. Maybe this season will be the one.
Thanks again!

Coach,
Your Awesome! Can I say that again?

Dear Coach,
I finally finished reading your information...and I was impressed,
not only by how easy you explained things, but how much
encouragement you give through out the site...
I already passed the word to my ride mates, that from now on, I'm
taking on an "attacking" attitude.

Coach,
Just wanted to add some info. You may recall I asked some
questions of you back in January and I realized how chronically
overtrained I was. What I did not tell you was that I broke down
with Mono, got the flu and bronchitis from Thanksgiving to early
January.
And just like in your new page on overtraining, once I started
riding again, I came back stronger than ever. I laughed then,
because I knew what happened, and I am still laughing at myself. I
have been sticking to your suggested training schedule, as have all
my riders and we are all very pleased with the progress.
So, in closing, I just wanted to thank you for your help and all the
valuable information you have shared. I think this will be the best
year ever for myself and the guys I coach.
By the way, we often chide each other at the end of rides by saying,
"coach carl would be proud."
Thanks again...
